Our company was established in its current form in 1992, but our “first installation team” was formed between 1983-1986 in the Technological Installation Division of Dózsa Industrial Cooperative. This team became Cooptech Bt. during the political transition period, which was later transformed into Cooptech Ltd. in 1992. At the beginning, we mainly performed general installation work, but through continuous learning and implementing new technologies, we aimed from the start to handle increasingly complex tasks at international standards. Market needs also pushed us in this direction, as we received more requests for complex piping systems, stainless steel equipment manufacturing and installation, as well as inquiries from domestic and international pharmaceutical companies for sterile and aseptic systems and equipment.
Today, we routinely perform the design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and quality certification of the most challenging food and pharmaceutical industry systems made from stainless steel that meet special international requirements. We gained the necessary knowledge, experience and international certifications gradually over the years, initially working as subcontractors for similar companies.
Cooptech Ltd. obtained its first company certification in 1995 (MSZ 4362-89). In 1999 we received MSZ EN 729-2 certification for proper operation of our welding workshop and also implemented EN ISO 9001/1996 standards. In 2002 we renewed our welding workshop certifications (MSZ EN/DIN EN 729-2, AD 2000 Mb. HP0) and aligned our quality management system with ISO 9001/2000.
In 2014, we introduced the Harmonized Integrated Quality Management System meeting ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 28001 and PED 2014/68/EU requirements. We continuously maintain necessary welding workshop certifications, procedure approvals and all other essential permits (TÜV). Our company also meets pharmaceutical industry requirements like GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and ASME/BPE standards. This enables us to participate as equally qualified partners in major international projects.
To deliver high-level technical services, we significantly upgraded our equipment and engineering staff in recent years. Our organizational structure and goals have evolved with higher quality projects, prioritizing quality and professionalism in both design and execution. Using modern design systems became essential, and we developed our validation and documentation systems accordingly.
In 2016, we greatly expanded our control technology and automation capabilities by adding about 20 engineers and programmers. We now design, implement and validate process control and automation systems for our equipment, and provide planned preventive maintenance.
We also upgraded our manufacturing and installation equipment. This included expanding our site by 20 hectares, building a 1,800 m² production hall, renovating a 1,500 m² office/warehouse, and constructing a polishing workshop.
Thanks to these developments, over the past 30+ years Cooptech Ltd. has grown into one of Hungary’s largest design and construction companies for biotechnology and pharmaceutical applications. Today we design and execute nearly all projects with our own team.
